My business experience has covered a wide variety of projects over the years, including culture development, strategic planning, new business development, teambuilding, life and executive coaching, employee training and education, meeting and group process facilitation, marketing and public relations, website development and content creation, graphic design for collaterals and advertising, copywriting, technical writing and editing, grant writing, educational curriculum development, special events planning, facilities planning, ambulatory services startup and management, accounting system implementation, database analysis and financial forecasting, information systems analysis and implementation, operational audits and process improvement, certificate of need application, physician compensation planning, and project management.


Some of my accomplishments include:


  • Addressing culture development, leadership, and interpersonal challenges for physician practices and ambulatory service businesses.

  • Conducting a feasibility study for a hospital foundation and, based on the results, collaborating with the foundation team to create and execute a year-long donor experience map.

  • Conducting a strategic planning process and creating marketing materials, advertising, and website to position a unique Colorado geriatric physician practice; serving this client from 2002-2014.

  • Ghost writing articles for a team of physicians who need the media exposure but lack the time to write.

  • Twice managing all aspects of a successful fundraiser/community celebration of vital aging—collaborating with talent, venue, volunteers, sponsors, media coverage, marketing and public relations, website development, travel, ticketing, and ancillary events.

  • Conceiving of, developing and managing a multi-year, $1M+ grant project to educate primary care physicians in Medicare coding and documentation, and caring for senior patients.

  • Orchestrating a multidisciplinary Client Services team to simultaneously support more than 30 startup and established ambulatory surgery centers nationwide in the areas of information systems, benchmarking and data warehousing, marketing, customer satisfaction, materials management, human resources, website development and implementation, and business office operations.

  • Analyzing data and financial forecasting related to long-range hospital facility planning. Developing custom financial forecast models to analyze the effects of assumptions on multiple scenarios for healthcare services such as a joint-ventured cancer treatment center.

  • Participating in moving an established multispecialty physician group practice to a new location, including overall project management, site identification, user need analysis, space planning, interior design, equipment and furniture inventory, and move coordination.

  • Developing financial and fixed asset analyses for a multiple physician practice acquisition for a new integrated delivery system.

  • Creating business office, accounting, and materials management processes for ambulatory surgery centers.

  • Facilitating a multidisciplinary team of clinical and business experts to design a turnkey process to open ambulatory surgical centers.
